SAP Sourcing > Help > Documentation link is not working

Hi Experts,

After the upgrade in our SAP Sourcing Portal 9.0, Help > Documentation link is not showing appropriate content. It is just popup a new
empty browser window.

I have seen System Properties through "System" user and got some clue to render the link:

/content/saphelp_es70/helpdata/{lang}/{id}/frameset.htm

/content/saphelp_es70/helpdata_p/{lang}/{id}/frameset.htm

/content/saphelp_es70/helpdata_s/{lang}/{id}/frameset.htm

But these links are pointed 'es70'; please let me know whether the above links needs to be modified and point below links?

you could use the "system.help.url.buyside" and "system.help.url.sellside" system properties to override the URL as a workaround but I think you should raise a message in order to understand why the link stopped working after the upgrade.

Thanks for looking this issue!

yes, we have different URLs that have been maintained. It seems they have changed the URLs for Sourcing 9.

I have raised OSS Message for this but didn't get reply.

Hi,

if you compare the two URLs the essential difference is the
"saphelp_es70" and "saphelp_es90". As such simply switch the 7 to a 9 in the upgraded system and it`ll work.

you need to change the actual system properties for this:
system.help.url.buyside
system.help.url.sellside

Those are being set as the "system" user. Do the change from "7" to "9"
there to make this permanent and working as intended.

Thanks for the information.

As I observed, the URL differs in saphelp_sourcing_90_p and helpdata; could you share the exact system property which you are using? Also let me know the SAP Help URL which is connected with your system property in Sourcing 9?

Hi Deva,

The system properties are:

system.help.url.buyside

system.help.url.sellside

These can be visible and set using system user only and not enterprise user.

When you upgrade your system from 7 to 9, the URL in the system properties remain same, Which has to be manually changed after successful upgrade.

I understand that, but I need what I have to change? what is the exact webpage you are getting once you navigate to SAP Sourcing 9.0 > Help > Document ?

system.help.url is obsolete and is no longer referenced in the whole system. Thanks.
