Hi All,

To fix the deployment error in the CE track, we have made CMS update.

After the CMS update there were inconsistency in the track and broken DCs due to meta data error.

Can any one help what are all the post activity after the CMS update?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Senthil

Hello Senthil,

in order to resolve broken DCs I suggest you to walk through this first:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28NWDI%29Home

See the article here:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28NWDI%29%28CBS%29+the+CBS-make+log+and-or+CBS+Web+UI+...

I hope this helps.

Hi Ervin,

Thanks for your response.

In our track we could see both the SP3 and SP8 components available.

Ideally it should have only SP8 after the CMS update. Am i right?

We could see the below error messages in the SCA,

1. SC dependencies are different but accepted by a synchronization (Yellow)

2. SC dependencies are different between SLD and CMS; synchronize the SC dependencies and accept the valid definition. (RED)

I referred the SAP Note#1243974 and i could see the entries for the Used Compartment tag.

<used-compartment>sap.com_COMP_BUILDT_1</used-compartment>

Please help if you have any idea to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ervin,

We did the CMS update and synchronize.

The package type for the BPEM-BUILDT and BPEM-CONTENT shows as Archive.

For other components, it shows as Source and Archive.

Are we missing any steps? Please suggest.

Thanks.

Hello Senthil,

Could you please send again the latest build log ?

Please also send me a screenshot about the History of the Development tab (there is a button on that tab called "go to history". Please select last 30 days from the dropdownlist and make sure all entries are visible on the screenshot).

Thank you and Regards,

Ervin

Hi Ervin,

I am providing the solution given by SAP on this issue,

there are inconsistencies in the software components information in CMS.

To solve these, please go to:

http://<hostname>:port/CmsSupportTool -

- press "Show Software Component Information of a Track" -

- choose the system and track <XXXX> - press "Search"

Here you will see that there are several components with multiple

conflicting entries. Please delete the conflicting entries using the

"delete from CMS DB" button where available.

Please try to "Update CMS" and "Synchronize SC Depencendies" afterwards

again.

Hence i am making this thread as answered.

Thanks.
