Shipment Cost

Hi SD Gurus,

I want to know what is shipment costing? Why it has been done? and how it is linked with billing - invoice.

Does shipment costing is possible for FOC orders?

Any help is appreciated.

Shipment cost:

The process of calculating the shipment costs for a shipment.

Shipment costs:

The total costs involved in the shipment of a product. Not just pure freight costs, but also cleaning costs, insurance, and other costs as well

I got the answer,

We can do manually shipment cost through TC VI01, with reference to shipment.

This also can be done automatically, but I dont know the IMG settings for that.

Thanks for the info, that make sense to me, but I am just wondering about one thing, if shipment cost is not completed, my system doesnt allow me to do the billing (VF01). It gives me a error of shipment cost is not completed.

I want to know, how to control this through IMG, I dont want this check while generating billing document.
