Custom fields in the Customer Include (Initiative)

Former Member

We have z fields for Initiatives (and Item) which fall under two groups:

  •        Custom fields in Standard Tab
  •        Custom fields in Custom Tab

We understand that the custom fields in standard tabs could be included in the customer include CI_INM_INITIATIVE. And the custom fields in the custom tab would need to be added in a separate z-table.

Can we add the custom fields in the standard table in this z-table too? Are there any system repercussions? Is it advisable?

Please advise.

Hi Deepak,

Were you able to sort out your issue for the custom fields in the Initiative?

We have a similar requirement to add custom fields to the Initiative object also (in the Overview tab), but have found that there's no standard Customer Include for the Initiative table...

So what you had indicated above : CI_INM_INITIATIVE, doesn't exist, or I'm not able to find it. Only have found CI structure for the ITEMS object (CI_RPM_ITEM_ATT).

Did you create the custom fields with this CI for the initiatives in the end?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi,

Technically we can  add the custom fields in the standard table to Z-table.The problem is data redundancy. So it is not advisable to add same filed in two tables otherwise foreign key relationship

between tables(with that filed) .

Sreenivas.
