Hi,
We are in the process to implement LSO in one of our client landscape.
We are following landscape as per the below link:
http://help.sap.com/erp_hcm_ias_2012_01/helpdata/en/eb/b3b341800e3231e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Our backend ECC system is at version 6.0 EHP 4.
And as per the landscape diagram in above link, we are installing LSOFE 605(LSO abap front end) on seperate NW R3 system.
Also, we are sending data from ECC to NW R3 system using ALE interfacing.
I have below queries:

I'm including the link to the discussion thread where I tried to point you in the right direction.

In case of the BSP Learning Portal, you will need only one iView. You can however install the provided Business Package if you want. There are NW70 and NW73 versions of the Business Package, mainly due to different packaging. In that sense the portal version is the determining factor.

With Admin and Instructor/Tutor the version of the backend (EA-HR) and used Business Functions determine what Business Package you should use.

Hi Samuli,
Thanks for the reply.
We have NW R3 (LSO Abap front end) system installed with LSOFE 605 component installed.
However, we are concerned with below query:
As per our understanding, LSOFE 604 is compatible with ECC EHP4, however we can not find any relevant information regarding compatibility of LSOFE 605 and ECC EHP4.
Please let us know source of relevant information to find compatibility of LSOFE 605 with ECC EHP4.

Abhishek Kalra
Since you can't have LSOFE605 and EHP4 on the same system (it's not technically supported) and recalling your previous discussion thread, I'm assuming you are looking at implementing the DMZ scenario where the system hosting LSOFE will be calling the backend using RFC. RFC is not version dependent but LSOFE will expect the backend that is being called to be at the same version level. See any of the LSOFE specifc function module calls which have the DESTINATION parameter. In other words I would not recommend it. You can contact SAP support to confirm.
