Hi everybody,

I´ve just watched the feauture and function update video on SAP NW IdM 7.2 SP8.

I am very interested in the system copy function.

In the video Kare Indroy said that we will be able to find the needed jobs in the scn.

Unfortunatelly I am not able to find them.

Can anyone please give me a hind or even the link where to find them?

Thanks a lot!

best regards

Hi Tim,

you can find the system copy guide and the jobs on http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-8397. See the last entry in the table under the section Identity Management General Documents.

Hello experts,

I have done the following for system copy of IDM 7.2 system

Target system: All Fresh Install

MS windows 2008 R2 + MS SQL Server 2008 + NW AS JAVA 7.3 Ehp1 +IDM database 7.2 (only database Installed no post installation configuration done)

On Source system done the following:

1. Imported the system copy jobs

2. Created Dispatcher to run system copy job

3. Imported the job folder

4. Configured Repository constants

My first question is WHERE SHOULD I RUN THE IMPORT JOB - Source or target ?

Second question is anything to do on TARGET SYSTEM ?

Please suggest...I am new to IDM...Thanks in Advance

Vahini,

You'll need to run from the source first to copy everything over.

This is referenced in the How to Guide early in the document. (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b036d90e-4e8a-3010-4584-aaccadf61...)

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the reply. Ok I will run from the source as per the document.

But what exactly I need to do in the target system, How does the IDM database gets imported in Target.

Hello Vahini,

on page 3 of the document the copy jobs are explained. There is not import/export... it's copying all the way. Through the jobs.

Please read the document again. A lot of your questions are answered in there.

Regards,

Steffi.
