How to delete Material variant assignment to configurable material

Dears,

I create Configurable material A and material variant B , and in MRP3 view configurable material field for material B I assign configurable material A

After I save I can't change it any more

How to delete Material variant assignment to configurable material ?

The correct and standard way would be archive material B and create it again to assign another configurable material.

In SAP standard, it is not allowed to change the assigned configurable material for a material variant after it is created.

Hi,

You could try this.

Step # 1:

Go to Material A and change remove the Configurable Check Box, provided the Material Type is FERT. I am not too sure of this if will work if you have already created some orders with this material.

Step # 2:

------------

Go to Material B and see if you get this as an editable option. If yes, remove it

Step # 3:

------------

Go back and put the Material A to Configurable again.

If Step # 1 does not work we don't have any option but just create another Material Set for A & B and live with the old ones.
