Hello Evryone
I was just curious, why XI needs Unicode installation of SAP Web Application Server (Web AS) ABAP + Java 6.40. I am try to understand the advantage/disadvantage of Unicode Vs Non-Unicode installation. What SAP-XI functionality would we missed if we did non-Unicode installation
Thanks for responde.
Ravi,
Have a look into these-

How it is related to XI? Whats the use?
>>>XI is installed only in Unicode systems. Also XI runs only on unicode only.

Ravi,
>>Unicode is uinversal format which includes most of the language character sets and sysmbols it is bigger version than ASCII key characterset.
suppose if you have eurpean charaters or symbols to be sent from source to target through XI you send the symbols with out any problem . if use UNICode it sends as it is otherwise Xi does not undestand these characters then they become junk characters
