Principal Propagation at PO 7.31 (Java-only)

Hey,

we use SAP PI 7.31 (Java-only) SP7 and we are facing a Problem with the Principal Propergation of Messages.

Following scenario:

"THIRD-PARTY" -> "PI" --> "ERP-SYSTEM / Server ABAP Proxy"

If an error in the ERP-System occurs, for example the order is locked, the message fails in SXMB_MONI.

We are not able to restart the Message, because only the user, which is used by PI to send the message, can restart the message.

It is not possible for us to log on with the PI communication user, because it is of type "communications data" and we can't switch the user type.  Another problem is, that we haven't configured any type of Principal Propergation in PI and we don't want to use it.

I have already created the SM59 Destination SAPXIPP100  with the report RSXMB_CONFIG_PP.

What is nessesary to restart the faild message?

Hello Sebastian,

have you tried to schedule RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES with the user used by PI? No need to log on with that user, you can schedule the job to run with that user in SM36. Maybe that works as a quick fix.

Hi Sebastian,

I faced the same exact problem yesterday after upgrading our systems. You need to restore your principal propagation configuration.

1) go to transaction sxmb_adm

2) in folder Configuration-> configure principal propagation

3) click on Restore
