Forecast release from DP to SNP issue- FC values not appearing in SNP plng book

Hello Folks - We mapped requirement strategy "52 - Plng w/o final assem. w/o make-to.order" in ECC to customized strategy(newly created) " 52 - PLANNING WITHOUT FINAL ASSEMBLY" with PIR segment as "Planning without final assembly, without individual requirements " which is the exact match of strategy 52 in ECC. i.e Make to stock in APO

While releasing the forecast via MC90 im not able to see the forecast values to the SNP planning book?

Note: Appropriate keyfigure 9ADFCST ,category group DF1 and category FA is assigned to the planning area and while releasing via MC90 alll values are set appripriately but no successfull results.

However just tried to change strategy group to "20" in APO and able to release DP to SNP values in SNP planning book.

Any help on this would be highly appreaciated.

Hi Ganesh

PLANNING WITHOUT FINAL ASSEMBLY is a special type of planning strategy in which the forecast entered will be treated in a separate segment, but not in the MTS segment. When you plan with MRP or PPDS planning, a special type of planned order, which cannot be converted into production order will be created. The Strategy is mainly meant to initiate the production of components without producing the final assembly.

Bottom line is this strategy is not supported by SNP. SNP cannot create any special type of planned orders.

Hi Ganesh,

Strategy 52 is not supported in APO with standard, when you CIF product master has planning strategy as blank, to use this you need to create this strategy directly in APO with required settings.

Then assign the same to APO product master, you might need to use some user exit for getting the same considered while releasing from DP to SNP, and then while planning with SNP, not able to recall the exit for that.

Please try to search on SCN, you might get some relevant threads for this.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

first try by creating strategy within APO and assigning the same to product master ----> try to release from DP to SNP.

if you still don't get desired result then search for relevant exit for this.

Hi folks - Thanks for your response, yes it seems SNP does not supports strategy 52.

Strategy 52 is MTO , we created our new strategy 52 in SNP ,a copy of strategy 20.
