Geolaocalization using BICS connection

Hi all,

i'm trying to create a GeoLocalization Analysis in SAP BO Mobile using a BICS connecction to

connect directly to a Bex query without using the BO Universe.

The result is that Latitude and Longitude are not interpretates correctly.

Anyone knows if it's possible?

Hi Rino,

Is your Latitude and Longitude returned in Number format from Bex query results?

Latitude and Longitude will be interpreted correctly only if they are in Number format.

Query browser is a supported connection for Dashboards on IPAD,so I don't see any issues there.

Hi Malik,

when you use the BICS connection in the BO server  you can't change the  'type of dimension' like in the universe.

You, pheraps, mean that I need to turn the characteristics Latitude  and Longitude in a KF? or I need to use a formula?

Yes Rino,

I am aware that you have no control at Query browser layer to change the data type to Number,so was asking you to ensure it comes in number format from Bex. (you can either go with Formula variables or CKF's and turn them to Number)
