Hi,

I'm trying to deploy a silent installation of SAP GUI at a test client. The install string is: "C:\temp\source\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /package="SAPGUI730" /silent

If I remove the /package parameter I get this message:

If I install manually it works fine. The testclient is running Windows 7 x64 with Office 2010 installed (not Outlook). Here is a part of the the NwSapSetup.log when i run the install string "C:\temp\source\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /package="SAPGUI730" /silent:

From the installation log,it seems you are not using compilation 2 dvd.

Please download this from the servicemarketplace.

The latest sapsetup is version 9.0.35.0

Be sure to create an installation server and update it with the sapsetup patch.

Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1587566 gives the instructions on where to download

the latest sapsetup patches.

Please go through the note Note 26417 - SAP GUI Resources: Hardware and software for the prerequisites.

It looks like you are using MS Office 2010 x64, in that case please have a look on Note 1442028 - SAP GUI for Windows: No support for Office 2010 64bit . Excerpts from the same note " SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 / 7.30 and all related applications including SAP Desktop Office Integration / BI Frontend / BW Frontend do not support Office 2010 64bit, only 32bit versions of Office are supported.

This means that when using 64bit operating sytems with SAP GUI for Windows and related components you have to use a 32bit Microsoft Office version (which is equivalent to the situation before Office 2010 64bit was released)."

The client is running Office 2010 32bit, so this is unfortunately not the issue. Regarding Note 26417, I cannot see anything there that do not matches the requirements.

As seen in your first message your setup script is pointing to "C:\temp\source\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe /package="SAPGUI730" /silent" rather than this,you create a share on the server to keep the package and the string should be like "\\<server>\<shared folder>\setup\NWSAPSetup.exe /package:“SAPGUI730“ /silent” , Please try it, it will help you.

OK, I've tried that with no success. However, now I got a some more details regarding what's missing. Please look at det attached image.

I have checked that Java 7 Update 25 (32 bit) is installed at the machine, so this error do not make any sense.

Can you ensure that you havn't chosen General Add-in => Calender Synchronization

as part of your package.

If you have,run nwsapsetupadmin.exe and uncheck the above item,and save the package and

run it again.

If the issue persists,post the complete logfile.

for prequesites for I.s.h Med package.

It specifies Jre 7rev 4 at the highest or Jre6.

If it's not necessary,then remove this also from your package.
