hi,

SAP does not explicitly release any Service Pack or Security Fix from Microsoft  for it's Netweaver based products.

SAP assumes that the available Fixes are installed as soon as they are available.

Details to this see note 30478.

An additional release cycle by SAP would delay the implementation of security fixes at customer systems, which at least temporary raises the vulnerability of a system.

regards

Peter

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

But I have already gone through the note.

My requirement is for the current month patches release certification by sap is available or not.

The note you have provided is having patches certified till 2011-2012.

What about 2013 ?

Regards,

Giridharan

Hello Giridharan,

SAP does not test/verify/release Windows Security Patches or Hotfixes. What is released by Microsoft can be installed on SAP servers but only after testing it on a non-production system first. In case there are any issues afterwards it is still possible to remove the patch/hotfix from control panel. This may be asked by SAP Support as well.

SAP does not relase SPs either - here is the strategy regarding Service Packs

(see on http://scn.sap.com/community/windows😞

Applying Windows Service Packs

SAP does not release Windows Service Packs for the use with an SAP system but recommends you testing and implementing them as soon as possible. As SAP tests its software with the latest Windows Service Pack, SAP might ask you to apply it before a support request is investigated any further. For more information about the use of an SAP system with a certain Windows Service Pack, and known issues, see SAP note 30478 (SMP Login required).

this note is not valid for SAP Netweaver on Windows.

Please pay attention to the component information of a note (in this case

Primary Component: XX-PART-CLK SAP Workforce Scheduling and Optimization by ClickSoftware)

Component BC-OP-NT contains the relevant information for SAPNetweaver on Windows.
