Standard sample Details & reminder after expiry

Hi,

My Requirement is-

In our scenario customer send us their standard sample for reference with expiry date till we stored this sample. From this sample we specify our specification.

How can I capture this scenario (standard sample data with expiry date)?

& they want reminder after standard sample expiry date finished.

Please suggest....

Activate 15 Inspection type to material.

Use QPR1 T code to create this physical sample.

Mention Expiry date & sample details in sample.

Then create Inspection lot with QPR5.

Customize a background job which will check sample expiry date & trigger mail.

Honestly ..there is no std way.create a program which would run in background & trigger a workflow.

Hi rahul,

For this scenerio you can do like if the particular material expiry date is same it means from the sample manfacture date to 1yr or 6mnths

1) Maintain recurring and other goods inspection types

2) Maintain the SLED interval

3) Create the lot manually

4) For the created lot post the results with your specifications and post the UD.

5) Basing on the recurring interval you maintained,automatically when the expiry date reached stock will go to blocked.
