restore maxdb 7.9 into 7.7

Hello,

is there a way to restore a 7.9 backup into a 7.7 db?

Or is there a way to drop 7.9 database without data files and install 7.7 and run then the database with these data files

Hi Marco,

You can restore backup of MaxDB 7.7 into MaxDB 7.9 . Refer link http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/MaxDB/HowTo+-+Creating+a+clone+of+a+SAP+MaxDB+database

But you may not be able to restore MaxDB 7.9 backup to MaxDB 7.7.
