Netweaver Business Client Welcome Message

Hi All,

We currently have setup the Netweaver Business Client via HTML.  We are now attempting to configure NWBC via table NWBC_CFG.  Everything has worked well with one exception, the welcome message.

Our table entry is as follows

Our problem is that the Welcome message is not displaying at all. 

Is there a setting that we are missing?  Is this even possible in the NWBC via HTML?  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Hello John

The paramter WELCOME_MESSAGE comes with the new NWBC HTML3.5 runtime

which you could get by upgrading SAP_BASIS to minimum 7.01 SP12.

Once you are on SP12 you should apply the runtime patches on top which

is following note 1763401 (instead of 1353538- which are the runtime

patches for the NWBC (HTML)3.0 runtime).

Hi Yong,

It appears that these notes are in the system.  We are on NWBC version 3.5, SAP_BASIS 7.31. 

Do you have any other ideas?  Otherwise, it sounds like I may need to open an OSS note for this.  Thanks.

Whats your SAP_BASIS SP version?

We are on NWBC version 3.5, SAP_BASIS 7.31. 

I checked the note you gave and did not see anything specifically around the Weclome Message.  Do you have any other ideas?  Otherwise, it sounds like I may need to open an OSS note for this.  Thanks.
