Installing Client of XI

Hi friends,

I am having access to XI server .But I dont know how to configure the Client of it to work on. Could any one give steps to configure the XI client.

Hi,

Install JAVA WEBSTART on your local system.

Hi Satya,

just install SAP GUI in your system.....just connect your system to XI server by some network......then in the GUI, add the IP address of XI server and the client number of XI server in which you will work.......create a login-id for you in that XI server system......then you can login into your XI server........

Hi Rajeev,

I did it in the same way .But when i am using Transaction code : "sxmb_ifr"

Its invoking browser .But its displaying "No page to display " error message is coming.

Whats the problem.

Hi Satya Kumar,

It is not understanding the host name. So you please enter ip address of xi server instead of host name in the internet browser.

Please modify the host file , you can find it in the following path:

<b>C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\host</b>

at the end of the file made the enty .

Example as follows:

10.34.96.73 sapxi

Hi Satya,

could you tell in detail what error you are getting in browser on opening SXMB_IFR in XI.....are you able to see IR, ID means are you able to see the homepage of IB or not...

I couldnt see even the home page.

Nothing is displayed and displaying "Not Found" and "Action Cancelled"

can you type the this URL in ur IE:

http://<yourservername>:<yourserverport>/rep

you should get XI home page. if not let usknow the error
