Hi,
We are installing Knoa 7.1.
The database instances for Knoa are created with the collation Latin_General_CI_AI.
But while installing MSSQL server 2012, there is no such option for collations.
Should we go with the closest collation?
If yes, which would be the closest collation.
Thanks
Nanda

Hi Nanda,
As per the link below only following database versions are supported for Knoa
Database Support
The Knoa databases are standard relational databases. Knoa's reference database platform is
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Oracle 11g (32-bit and 64-bit).

Could you please check with MSSQL 2008.
Hope this helps.

Hi Deeapk,
Thanks so much for your quick reply.
Knoa 7.1 supports MSSQL 2012 also, because we did install it in our sandbox successfully.
Even though the sandbox MSSQL server 2012 was on collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN2, Knoa 7.1 created its own database instances with Latin1_General_CI_AI without any issues.
Now, we didnt install the agents in user desktops and start collecting the performance measurements. What if this becomes an issue later in future?
Thats why i want to check before starting the DEV installation.
Thanks
Nanda
Hi Nanda Kumar,
If you execute VBscript to install MSSQL 2012, you may not get an option to select the collation.
You need to perform manual setup of MSSQL using setup.exe file and then choose relevant collation.
Hope this helps.

Deepak Kori
