Alternate materials

Hi all,

Is there any function in SD wherein we can suggest in a sales order alternative products with similar characteristics if the main material is not available in stock.

Prod proposal, Matr detr, cross selling does not fit in my solution.

Is there anything else suitable?

but can we make material determination check the characteristics of the materials. meaning that if materials have similar characteristic values then only they can be substituted.

Hi,

We have to decide as to which materials can be sold in place of a material when it is not available. Material Determination allows us to propose multiple materials in lieu of the main material. It can even perform a function of availability as to which substitute is having the required stock or how much stock is available.
