Transfer Order Error: System cannot find Source Storage Bin

     Hi,

We get this error while doing automatic Transfer Order creation.

We have set up the system such that once the Material Document is posted, the TR and TO gets automatically created.

This was working till last month, and now suddenly this does not work, there has been no changes done.

While trying to do in foreground we get this error as System cannot find source storage bin.

There is no SU Mgmt here and while trying foreground we get this error with the pointer at the SUT.

Can you tell me how to set up the system when we dont have SUT or bin type definition for the storage type or warehouse

During Storage Type Search System captures the storage type, but not the storage bin...

Dear Benu ,

Please check material master and storage type search sequence , once everything is fine try foreground and analyze storage types picked up in the search  sequence . If everything looks fine ,  background option should also work fine.

Assuming there's no change to the customizing of your warehouse, you need to check:-

1) LS24 - Stock is available in source storage type/bin?

2) MM03 - Check if the removal indicator on WM1 view was changed

You can also post a screen shot of the bin search log here for investigation.

Hi

This is normally because either the system has gone through your search strategies and the stock is not in any of the st types specified, or the stock is in a st type beginning with 9 or there may be an outstanding TO that has not been confirmed ofr the status of the stock has been changed to Q or S or the material and/or the bin is blocked.

Ensure that there is some stock available first and then run the transction in foreground and type in where the stock is to se if there are any other issues with the section search etc

Please check for any changes to your storage type. someone might have activated the SU mgmt active check box.

When is this error coming - during putaway or picking?

post all possible error screenshots to analyze further
