Hi,

Sorry , I could nt point out  the proper log in the attachment . Can you paste the relevant ones .

Smells like it hanged up , I will just restart in such a situation . It hanged up for me in ACT_
UPG and it hanged up , restart was the solution . Have you retried the phase after error ? Just retry after R3trans + tp upgrade .

Hello

Please provide the output of this command

ls -la /dataexport/SUM/abap/ACT*

Also provide the contents of this file:

/dataexport/SUM/abap/log/SAPup.ECO

Cheers

Hello

Check whether the shadow instance has been created and the DBCLONE jobs in the primary system has been completed successfully.

Also make sure that there is space in the database level and the check for any errors in the database.

Also check for the SAPup.log log in the log directory especially for the phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG.

Check for any dumps in the shadow system with the name LOAD_SWITCHSTATES_LOST

Hi Ganesh

common question (even if it's your 3rd upg), did you upgraded your upg ker+r3trans and tp?

Last but not least, can you upload also ACTUPG.ELG ?

Let me know

Hi A,

Yes, kernel, r3 and tp are upgraded before start SUM.

please suggest the location of  ACTUPG.ELG.

I can see the below log files in the installation log directory not ACTUPG.ELG

DBACTPRE.LOG

DBACTEMA.LOG

DBACTUPG.LOG

RADTBUCACT.CMD

Thanks, Ganesh

Hi Ganesh

silly question, did you have enough space on /dataexport/SUM/abap/log/ ? (probably that phase went ok and there is not ACTUPG.ELG but better save than sorry...)

Can you paste version of R3trans and tp ?

As Nibu Antony said, have you retried the phase after error ?
