Sales order with 0 qty in APO

Hi All,

We are using strategy 20 in APO. Forecast is released from DP to P.P.D.S and heuristics run in product view creates planned order against the FC.

Sales order come in and consume these planned orders during ATP check.

In case their is no planned order ATP check fails since sales order will not find any receipt element.

Issue : the unconfirmed sales order lies in product view and when heuristics is executed it creates additional planned order. Since we are in M.T.S and can't produce for a singe sales order we don't want the sale order to create any planned order further.

One option I was thinking to make the sales order quantity 0 in APO.

Please share your inputs we are using P.P.D.S and G.A.T.P functionality.

Thanks

Regards,

Amlan C

Hi Amlan,

I think you could set the flag

"Confirmed Quantity is Relevant for Pegging"

Use
"This indicator displays the quantity of a schedule line in a customer requirement that is relevant for pegging..."

This flag can be set in the planning procedure customizing. Set the flag and recheck your process.

best regards,

Michael

Strategy 20 is a normal planning strategy.

Issue is that the sales order should consume the forecast.  It has nothing to do with the planned order.

So PPDS Heuristics will NOT create an additional planned order, it may delete the existing planned order and recreate a new one on the sales order date as the sales order may be a different date than the forecast.  But you won't have (2) Planned orders.

Is your forecast being consumed?

Hi Amlan ,

Why don't you use check against forecast . Define a requirement strategy (DP Customizing) for your product in /SAPAPO/MAT1 and directly consume forecast .

Then as Michael has replied set the "Confirmed Quantity is Relevant for Pegging" flag while maintaining your planning procedure . Orders which will have open req. qty. will not be considered then .

Hope it helps .

Best Regards ,
