Use Web Dispatcher for web service scenarios.

Hi Experts ,

We have a requirement to to use WEB DISPATCHER for all the web services scenarios for security and load balancing.

Can you please throw some light on how it is achieved in PI for web service scenario and how  the SOAP adapter needs to be

configured(are there any additional setting when webdispatcher is in picture , like target URL)?

Are there some settings which needs to done from PI point of view or any input that needs to be given to the BASIS team for the configuration at their end?

We are working on PI 7.30

Hi Sunath,

PI adapter engine or setting at PI adapter does not need any change on deployment of a web dispatcher. This is something Basis team needs to manage.Web dispatcher is deployed at the application server level and sits on top of the application server(s). Its main function is to regulate HTTP requests and optimize throughput/manage traffic.

I don't think you need to give any inputs to Basis team for its deployment. They will take care of how to implement it.
