Service master bdoc error: ID xxxxxxx already exists

Hi all,

We are using bdoc to replicate service master from ECC 6.0 Ehp5 to SRM 7.0.  A problem was identified when short text of some service master was updated,  Bdocs at SRM side are failed with below error messages:

A product with the ID 3077765 already exists
Validation error occurred: Module COM_PRODUCT_SRV_VALIDATE, BDoc type PRODUCT_SRV.

Therefore, some service masters already exist in SRM are unable to update short text in this case.  However, this problem only happened in some service masters and many other service masters can be updated.  Please let me know how to resolve this if you have encountered similar problem.  Thanks.

Hello Donald,

Does your configuration changed in the lapse between first creation and this bDOC?

Normally it happens after lexicographic and leading zeroes checkbox got changed from activated or desactivated (or viceversa) between these.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for your response.  We have no configuration change.  There is a workaround to delete product entry from table COMM_PRODUCT and then repost bdoc.
