Hello All,
Currently we are facing slow ness in some particular transactions in SAP r3 system
R3: ECC 6.0
OS:AIX 7
DB :Oracle 11.2.0.3.0
We have checked in the system and these transactions are heavily used during this month end period.
Let us know any suggestions which will route us towards happiness.
I have given timelines time during normal and during slownes
Transaction | Normal time | During slowness | Remarks |
IW51 |
| 3-4 | Creating |
VL10 | 30 | 1 | Creating |
IQ03 | 10 | 2-3 | Check |
Vl02n | 40 | 2-3 | During |
Migo | 10 | 1 | During |
YMB01 | 20 | 2 | During |
IQ09 | 2 | 5 | During |
Hi
By using the T code ST12 you can take the transaction trace to find the reason
Thanks

Hi Sudhakar,
Maybe your system is under-sized for month end processing.
Please have a look at:
* ST06 - CPU usage (current and previous hours). If collector is not runnning, look at server CPU consumption at OS level
* SM50 - number of busy work processes in relation to total number of WP
* STAD - for the transactions mentioned above, look at the ratio between CPU time and DB request time. Is it the same during normal time and slow times?

Hi Sudhakar,
What do you regard as 'normal'?
How high is CPU usage during high load phase according to ST06?
How many work processes are busy in this phase (SM50)? Are they rather waiting for DB requests, or running some ABAP code?
Did you compare STAD entries for the above mentioned transactions in normal load phase and high load phase?
Why would you like to do an index analysis? When run time is okay during low load phase, indexes will not deteriorate during high load.
The route towards happiness is sometimes a stony one.
Best Regards, Randolf
