Could I use SAProuter for BOBJ with EWA?

I have setup EWA for BOBJ (BoE 4.x) and the only issue I ran into was discovering that changing the name in the LMDB was not useful to the EWA.

SAPRouter should not be any issue (assuming your BOBJ is on Windows) its just a matter of populating your saproutetab file.
