Solution manager diagnostics (on the fly) error

I am attempting to set up solution manager diag agent with the on the fly option

I have installed one diagnostic agent on our server grrapi13.

This server has several sap systems on it D02, D04, D08, D11 etc

I installed SMD according to the Agent Installation Strategy Solutionmanager 7.1

By leaving the host name blank as described on page 9

( I logged on as user d11adm)

And used P4 connection to connect directly to our solutionmanager system

agent show as running

I can see the SMD on solman_setup showing as green in the manager system HOST tab , I also have the on the fly flag set

I am only able to add one system D06 for example to the agent ,

When I try to add another , I do not see any agents from grrapi13 that I can add .

I do see a bunch of errors like this .

Ended up uninstalling SMD again, this time also removing the remaining contents of the /usr/sap/SMD/SYS, then reinstall and now it is working.

Hi Kenneth,

Once the agent on fly gets activated, you can see at the path /usr/sap/<DAA>/SMDA<nr>/ a number of folders getting created as SMDAgent_<virtual hostname>. If they have got created then your SMDAgent is ready for other systems. Can you confirm you see these folders in the directory mentioned?
