Assigned templates to managed objects

Good day experts,

I'm having a mind breaking issue that I cannot find a lead to anywhere on the web, I'm doing technical monitoring configuration, while on the phase of template maintenance, I found that there is a template that has been assigned to a managed object by default, I need to change that template, but I cannot find a way to unassign the already assigned template. This is using solman 7.1.

Hi Ahmed,

See is SAP note 1850770 helps here. If not, you coudl try

In "Setup Monitoring" step there is a button named "Restore Defaults",

it restore the assigned templates to the default template.

You can use this button to restore to the default template and then

assign your relevant template and then apply and activate the

Managed object.

If MO specific changes has been applied on that template, open the template at MO level, and reset it. Then you should be able to change the template assignments easily

Flip over to Step 5 'Define Scope' select the line item and then you can click remove monitoring; make sure you are in edit mode too.
