transaction code entry field defaults to /nsmen at all times

Hi All,

One user is  experiencing a situation in SAP where the transaction code entry field defaults to /nsmen at all times he cannot over ride it.

Not able to change it to any other TCODE and the window to enter TCODES always shows /nsmen only. He is logging in through portal. And this is the issue with one user only. It is working fine for all others. But he is facing this issue with every system he tries to login

We advised SAP GUI re install but user need root cause why it is happening before going for SAP GUI reinstall. Please help.

Check if the user has a start transaction set in the backend system.

Hi All,

It might be some issue with browser. We had to give GUI user/pass and add system to logon pad. While logging in through logon pad; it worked fine. And after that it did nto appear in portal login as well.

But we couldn't find what was the cause

Hi Varun,

Do you use some sort of logon script for user logon ? Can you share the screenshot of user's screen ?

Please check below points too:

1. Clear history of the web browser and check again if this solves.

2. Check if you have assigned only that particular transaction through a transaction i-view and whether user is having authorization to other transaction.

Probably it would be from Browser.  Check the Browser version and its properties..
