Hi Expert,

let me know if these are the steps for transporting SAP PI ESR and ID objects - in SAP PI 7.11 using CTS+

1. Export object & create transport request in ESR, ID of source system.

2. Release TR using tcode SE09 in source system

3. Import TR using tcode STMS in targe system

4. Import objects in ESR, ID of target stytem

Is this ok?

Hi,

to import run Tcode stms_import

you don't have to import in ESR. it will be imported automatically.

for importing into ID go to change list.

select ctsadmin user

you will see the tranported objects under this user id.

now right click on the change list. and transfer to your user(one who logged in).

now activate the change list.

To see the list of imported objects go to tools-->Find Transport.

select the appropriate username date etc. press enter.

you  will get list of imported transport.

to see the objects, select the transport and click on the folder.

check below doc for more info.

let me know if you don't get it.

Hi Sudeep,

Please find below the conifg steps for CTS+..

  1. Enter
    transaction STMS in the sytem.
  2. Click
on System overview.  If the system
selected is already a domain controller, an icon will be displayed in the
column-Type; if not the icon will be displayed next to the domain controller to
which the system is currently connected.
  3. Log
on to client 000 of the system.  Enter
transaction STMS again; The dialog box TMS: Configure
    Transport Domain
    appears.  Also refer

  4. Enter the name and a short
    description of the transport domain.
  5. Now in System overview, only the
selected system will be displayed and the icon indicating

Domain controller will be displayed next to it.

Hi

you don't have to create the transports explicitly... TR will get created during the export of objects automatically.

If there are multiple TRs and you want to select specific TR this you can do via CTS Transport organizer tool in ESR/ID so that objects will be attached to the preselected TR..

Before releasing ensure the transport routes are configured appropriately for import..
