SAP MDM or DAM?

Hi,

We have designed a catalog repository for products and one product is linked to multiple PDFs and images.

I wanted to know is SAP MDM or DAM better to store rich content?

Has anyone integrated DAM and SAP MDM?What are the steps involved?

Hi Muniyappan,

I think you can link product id with digital asset id and maintain sync between them.This could involve some development at DAM area.

A custom portal iview can call Porduct details from MDM and related digital assets from DAM system.

Hw do we maintain that relation in MDM?

IS DAM capable of storing PDFS as well?

Hi Muniyappan,

DAM is dedicated to asset management and can provide rich data in many formats as desired.So PDFs should not be a problem.

You can have a foreign key reference between them so that MDM records are linked to DAM record.

This can be used by portal for search and display purpose.
