Hi Gurus,
The requirement is that the initial costs posted to the WBS should be settle to CC and after some time (could be more than one year after), the costs should be settle to AuC, so my query is how can I had an investment profile to a WBS if there is already a settlement rule for CC.
Thanks in advance.

You only need the Investment profile if you want the system to automatically create an AuC. Since you are manually changing the settlement rule some time later you only have to make sure that your Settlement Profile allows settlement to a CC and an AuC. When it is time you will create a new settlement rule to the AuC (the AuC will have to be manually created).
Remember that all of the previously settled costs have already been transferred to the CC and only new costs will settle to the AuC.
This seems like a strange business practice. What is driving it?

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the feedback. The requirement comes from the nature of the business.
The company is building wind farms, there is an initial stage of technical studies (wind, archeological, etc...) that will determine if the farm can be built or not. This can last more than one year. So the purpose is only to consider the costs as invesment if the studies have been positive and only the costs incorred in that year.

The usual solution to that business requirement is to create separate WBS structures for the initial investigation and the later actual implementation. You realy need more than one WBS to keep the costs separate. Otherwise you have to guess when to switch the settlement rule and they will probably get it wrong. The whole point of using PS is to have a WBS structure and hierarchy.
Good Luck
Hi
try reversal of settlement and then create AUC
create Settlement rule for AUC
than run settlement.
Hope this will solve your problem.
thanks
Sunil
