Hi All,
I have configured alerts in my system according to the below document and it is working fine. I can see alerts for Mapping errors and certain comm channel errors. Alerts are not triggered for all comm channel errors. For ex in Sender File adapter I gave the wrong directory information and the comm channel is in error status with the message "Configured Source Directory does not exist" however there is no alert triggered for the same.
And once I correct the folder information and fail the file during content conversion I see the alert message triggered for the same channel. Any thoughts?
Alert rule created is "no restriction" rule.

Thanks,
Bhargav
Dear Bhargav,
My guess is that a wrong directory is not a real error related to data or structure or security or something. I can imagine that SAP does not want to raise that as an alert.
Seeing a wrong directory in the communication channel seems enough. Otherwise alerts will be raised for every tiny error in the configuration.
Just my feeling/thought.
Kind regards,
Dimitri
