Retrofit Error "No transport of copies assigned to request for retrofit"

Hi All,

We are currently on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP 08 patch level. We have also implemented successfully the Retrofit functionality and it is being used efficiently till date.

While performing a Retrofit for a Workbench object today, we received an error message:

No transports of copies assigned to request  for retrofit

Message no. /TMWFLOW/RETRO_EXT024

Diagnosis

There is no active entry in the table /TMWFLOW/TOCASNG for transport request  for the retrofit functionality. There are no import objects for this transport request which could be retrofittet by automatic import of the assigned transport of copies.

System Response

The transport of copies could not be imported, because it is not available for the transport request.

Procedure

No further action required. System status is set to OK.

For the Transport request that we are trying to Retrofit, has multiple released Transport of copies and were moved successfully to Quality system as well.

Any pointers or suggestion regarding this Retrofit issue would be helpful.

Please check this blog: http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2013/07/09/fixing-error-with-to.... I had the same error as you, maybe it's the same reason.

Hi Raquel.

I am facing exact but could not figure out from blog what could be done for rectifying this error ?

The note you specified in "Cannot be implemented" status in managed systems.

Is anything more need to be checked ?

Transport of copies are itself not getting created and getting same warning while releasing transport as you specified in blog...

Please Note- getting below error while releasing transport

Hi,

The issue is that, the transport request is not having task to hold the objects.

Hence, create a transport request with task so that it holds all the objects for both customizing request and workbench request, and then retrofit it.

It works..:-)

What is the value of the critical retrofit column?

Can you also please drill down to the objects (double click on transport) to see if there are any valid objects for automatic import functionality of retrofit.

A ToC is used to perform this action, but only for conflict free objects.
