Effect of a different Language in SPL checks

Hello GTS Gods

Need your advise and thoughts on the following scenario

In our firm, there are some customers who are maintained only in Portuguese. The customer master has name, street address, City, Country maintained in Portuguese. This means that the customer master record in ECC and its equivalent business partner in SAP GTS are in Portuguese. As a reference,t the only thing that is maintained in English is the customer’s name and this information is in the Name 2 field. There are no international versions maintained with other languages because of certain technical restrictions.

From a GTS standpoint, since the language is in Portuguese, the business partners are being omitted from a SPL screening because the language of comparison for SPL check is English. And at this point, our SPL data providers support only English language. The is causing an issue because the SPL check is not 100% accurate as it is just reading the name 2, which is in English.

Could you please provide your thoughts on how to get around this without ?

Thanks

Pristine

Hi Pristine,

It doesn't make sense in question to achieve it, you should cooperation with your master data team to

maintain master data in one language (English or Portuguese), If your master data is maintained in

Portuguese, you should also upload boycott lists in Portuguese into GTS system for SPL Screening.

Best Regards,
