inbound delivery does not create batch classifaction values

Dear all,

the batch classification (include values / class type 022) in the inbound delivery works fine but only for new batches.

If there a batch in the inbound delivery who was delivered before, the other (new) batches get no values for the class. The general-tab with the characteristic description would not create in the batch.

The characteristic value required an entry in the pop up during the inbound delivery (goods receipt posting)….and this works for both batches but it does not effect the new batch.

e.g.

inbound delivery 123 with batch split

• with batch xx and value: A / Time of creation / Creation Date
• with batch yy and value: A / Time of creation / Creation Date

inbound delivery 456 with batch split

• with batch xx (exist from inbound delivery 123)
• with batch zz (no values)

solving (SAP):

"Function Z_LOMF_GET_HU_INFO call Z_PLO_BATCH_CHARACT_GET an in this

function the non release function VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL is called, which

is calling CLAP_DDB_INIT_CLASSIFICATION. This causes the issue.

Function VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL is not release so it's not allowed to

use in customer own functions, see note 109533 and 415983.

Please deactivate Z_LOMF_GET_HU_INFO"

Hi Friend,

    Please check the customization setting :

Transaction Code : OMCV and chose one of the following options in the field batch classification ("CB") for movement type 101.

-->Classification only in for e.g.for mand.charac. (all batches)

-->Classification always in foreground (all batches)

-->Classification in foreground for new batches only

thx for the answer.

The option for classifying batches is/was: Classification carried out in background (all batches).

The phenomenon is only in a mixed inbound delivery.
