Calculation of Planned delivery time, GR Time and GI Time while planning

Hi,

Could you please help me here:

I have 2 plants.

1) Source plant - 2000 which is manufaturing the product A

    I have maintained Planned delivery time as 5 days and GR time as 10 days in this plant.

2) Destination plant- 3000 which is receiving the product A

    I have maintained Planned delivery time as 7 days and GR as 15 days in this plant.

Now if i want the product A in plant 3000 on 20/9/2013, then how these PDT and GR time are considered and what are the dates calculated in both plants.

Could you please help me how the dates are considered while planning.

Moreover please let me know what is the impact if we maintain GI time also in these plants.

I assume this is for stock transfers.  The basic duration is Goods Issue time at sending plant + transport duration from transportation lane + Goods Receipt time at receiving plant.  All of these are affected by any calendars you have maintained against the locations and transportation lanes.  Thus you may have a calendar for shipping, receiving and warehouse handling.
