Hi Guys,
I am newbie to SAP, I have 3+ experience on Linux administration, and now I am planning to move into SAP Security . So how good will this module suits me with Linux admin background. Do I have a chance to use my current experience in SAP security. If not which SAP module suits me with Linux background so that I can grow up my career in SAP.
How about SAP HANA? Does any module from SAP HANA suits me? Is that good for me to go with Linux administration background ?
Please guide me!!
With your background as Linux admin any SAP Basis topic related to run any SAP software on Linux/UNIX will fit perfectly fine.
I would start with SAP Basis and then start looking deeper into more specialised topics in the SAP world.
As an admin SAP Basis is the beginning (and used by almost all SAP products), not the end.

Hi SAiKrishna,
As you are a newbie, suggest you to go through some reading materials from SAP help on Security
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/52/671285439b11d1896f0000e8322d00/content.htm

HANA is something new from SAP . As per my understanding HANA won;t be a good idea to begin with. May be you spend some time understanding SAP architecture first and then gradually move towards HANA.
Hope this helps.

Deepak Kori
