xi currently being edited

wen ever i m working in xi and if it is either activated once or abruptly ended

wen i come back to it ]i m unable to make the changes and it says

the current object being currently edited by my *** (user name)

i also chked if any body elsi is logged on to the system .could u guide me how to resolve my problem

Hi Jaya,

In the Initial Screen of XI GUI browser you have option Goto Administration>Locks>Overview--> and delete the one which was locked...

sorry guys i cant still see th eword locks in administration of xi home pagge

chk below do i need to stop the server to view the logs

is there any alternative that it works if i restat the server

Hi,

You have opened, adminstration from SLD. Do not do this.

Go to your XI home page, from where you open IR/ID, there you will see Administration. Use this.

if you dont have admin rights then you cant see these.

you need to open from Xi home page their you Adminstration on righthandside top corner.

Jaya,

do this but you should have Admin rights to do this . you get these problem when you close abruptly ended with out saving the object thats it gets locked so that your changes wont go and some does use this object.

to avoid these dont close abruptly .

XI Home Page --> Administration --> Locks --> Here select the locks clcik on release them.

Go to XI Home Page --> Administration --> Locks --> Here select the locks and release them.

You can do this for IR,ID separately. The first tab by default is IR the next tab will be ID.
