Alert not triggering from RWB

Hi Experts,

               I am configuring Alerts in SAP PI 7.3,

               i have created the Alert category in ALRTCATDEF, and added this category to an Alert Rule in RWB.

               When am testing alerts through RSALERTTEST am able to get an alert in the ALRTINBOX,

              When am running the scenario am getting errors in communcation channel monitoring,

              but the alert is not triggering, and no alerts are arriving at the inbox,

              Are the configurations for ALM necesarry

              Any configuration to be checked from the BASIS side ???

              Please help ????

Hi,

First check which alerting is selected for pi system.is it alert framework or Component based message alert.

Thanks a lot Muni,

I solved the issue...

I followed the below step as given in the thread

Go to sxmb_adm->integration engine configuration then  Category : "Monitor"

Parameter : ALERTING_TARGET value : 0

( 0 for Alt: Alert Management Server AND 1 for New: Component-Based Alerting)

I set it to 0 as i was implementing alerts using Alert Framework (Alert Management Server)
