HR org. structure integration

Hi All,

We are not sure yet if we will start with a standalone SRM org. structure and later on, replicate the ECC HR org. structure.

We are on SRM 7.02 and ECC 6 EHP6.

The question is whether SAP supports the following scenario.

  1. Create a standalone SRM org. structure with SRM internal no. range for all org. structure objects.
  2. Start using the system and creating business documents (i.e. SC, RFx etc.)
  3. Have an ECC HR org. structure being established
with internal no. range for all org. structure objects.
  4. Replicate and on-going synch. the ECC HR
org. structure to SRM although a standalone SRM org. structure already being
    used.

If this scenario is supported by SAP what are the pros. and cons. against such an approach?

What do we need to consider if we take this approach?

What steps do we have to make in the system to allow this approach?

Thanks,

Raz

Hi Raz,

parallel (manuall and automatic) processing is not supported out of the box. There is a customizing entry, saying if manual maintenance or automatic replication activated.

Table T77S0,

If you want to use first manual maintenance and then swich it to replication - you should pay attention to the number ranges. Manual entries will use internal SRM number range. By the replication the numbers are taken from HR System (if neccesary, mapping is possible on HR side). You should use different number ranges for your local HR objects and Replicated from ECC.

Best Regards

Konstantin
