Error while Upgrade of PI 7.11 to SPS 05 - during the execution of the Run sapcpe for SCS step with action execute

Hello everybody,

while upgrading a IP 7.11 installation to SPS 05 the follwing error occured:

An error has occurred during the execution of the Run sapcpe for SCS step with action execute. Service com.sap.sdt.j2ee.services.servicesimpl.TaskExecutorService failed with the following message:

Error while executing Task with input file ExecuteTasksDepl.xml and task RUN_SAPCPE_SCS_DEPL.

You can find more information in the files /sum/SUM/sdt/log/SUM/RUN-SAPCPE-SCS_02.LOG and ProcessOverview.html.

Use the information provided to trouble-shoot the problem. There might be an OSS note providing a solution to this problem. Search for OSS notes with the following search terms:

The mentioned Files in the last line have not been created.

Can anybody help with further advice what to check or has even experienced the error and is able to help with a solution?

Thanks for your response.

After checking the sapcpe_scs.log I found the following:

ActualizeLocalFileOrDir: wdispadmin.SAR (FPM:0x1)

*** ERROR: ActualLocalFileOrDir:lstat /usr/sap/SIP/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64/wdispadmin.SAR, 2, No such file or directory,

[sapxxcpe.c:1894]

Obviously this file was missing because it wasn't copied during a previous kernel update.

After providing this file the error could be resolved.
