Moving from PI 7.31 dual stack to PI 7.31 Java Only Stack

Hi,

We have PI 7.31 dual stack in our landscape. We plan to move to single stack PI 7.31 system with PO (PI as well as BPM BRM components).

From an installation perspective do we have to install a new PI 7.31 Java only system from scratch or there are tools available to convert dual stack installation into single stack installations ?

If we have to install a new Java only system, what is the recommended mechanism to move the existing interfaces to new Java only system ?

Thanks,

Yomesh

I think you have to install from the scratch.

There are plenty of blogs about the conversion from dual stack to single stack in SCN.

I'm seeing mostly impact on ccbpm interfaces. Here you have to use SAP Netweaver BPM.   Plus you need to focus on adapters usage proxy , http and idoc.  Hope that helps.

Direct upgration not right idea and install new system then move all stuff to Single stack. Make sure that all connectovty.confgurtaions established before moving to single stack.

Create on sandbox system first move all stuff then perform sanity check of every interface then move to dev,qa and prod.

Do homework before performing

Hi Yomesh,

You need to install from scratch.

If you are moving to a single stack PI 7.31 SPS7 system, you can use the Directory Migration Tool in order to migrate your Integration Directory Objects from your Dual-Stack System. For ESR objects, you can simply do an export/import or you can transport via CTS+ as well.
