Hi All,

I have installed Solution Manager 4.0 on windows 2003 server with oracle 10g. Installation is complete and i started the post installation activiites.

I ran SGEN in client 000. But its not running.

Data for Current Job:

Job Status: Active Start Date: 06.03.2007

Progress: 0 % Complete

Edited Objects: 0 From 99773

Can you suggest me why this is not happening.. In SM 50 also, one batch job is running. but its doing nothing.

Thanks,

I can see no error message in you post

sgen takes time and it will be running in background

completion can only be shown once it completes 100 jobs

as you said in sm50 you could see on batch job is running this means your sgen is working fine

Hi Sailesh,

You do onething.

First you make a new client say 100. Then run transaction SCCL (for client copy). Take Source Client as 000 and Source Client User Master as 001.

Thereafter run SGEN from it.

Hi Abishek,

I have done the same. I copied to new client 800 and i started sgen in 800.

But still it is showing the same. Its not generating any error message also. But in work processes, a background job runs continuously doing nothing. see below

Hi Sailesh,

Have you defined your operation modes? If SGEN running in background then you may increase the background processes. By the way you may wait a little and then refresh it to see whether its actually running or not.

Try running it in the foreground and see what happens.
