Temporary Number update in SAP AII

Hello,

For our client we're having temporary serial no. at the bottom of the bottle which will be used to build the relationship with the 2D barcode printed on the bottle lable.

We want to capture this temporary number in SAP AII as well.

Could you please help to know how we can achieve this? Is there any table field can be used for this? What are other options available?

Hello @Ravi,

For each Physical Object(i.e. serial ID) you can add custom attributes/fields. For this you have to define a custom table and replace the standard table in customization with this table.

I am a bit curious to understand the reason behind this requirement. Why do you want to store the temporary number(which might be recycled much faster) on the packaging line into your system of record SAP AII?
