Hi Experts,

im working on IDOC_AAE to web-service scenario.

When i ping the communication channel form RWB. it is showing that, " Connection test: SAP back-end is not available"

And it is saying that RFC destination " XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_RD1 " unavailable.

should we need to create this destination? if so where should we create?

In NWA,i did the following settings

1) Inbound RA :

MaxReaderThreadCount"  to 10

Enter "true" for Local.

2) XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_PIT refers to the PI system ID.

3) SM 59 : type T connection and given the ECC gateway host and service.

4) we 21 : port creation

5) We20 partner profiles

6) BD 54 logical system

7) BD 64 Distribution model

i have not done anything in PI.

Please help me to resolve this issue..

Regards

Hi,

Are you using single stack or dual stack of PI ?

In IDoc sender channel what is the rfc destination you have provided over there ?

Atleast one RFC destionation need to point to backend system to fetch idoc metadata so you can either use the RFC destination XI_IDOC_DEFAULT.. or XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_ECC to point to backend system for metadata..

Hi Rajesh,

im using PI 7.3 EHP1 dual stack.

In IDoc sender channel i have provided the rfc destination as default.

As i mentioned above, i have created the RFC destination " XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_PIT '   of Type T in ECC.

By providing the ECC host details.

the communication channel is expecting RFC destination from PI to your SAP backend. You can create one in PI java stack via netwever admin

please check the blog

Hi Rajesh,

Apart from the RFC destination " XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_PIT " which i have created in ECC.

i have also created the RFC destination in NWA " XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_RD1"

Now the channel is working.

i'm working on IDOC_AAE for the first time. facing lot of issues.

i referred the blogs of swathi and juan manuel. Nothing has mentioned to create this destination with the ECC system ID.

Thanks for your help..

Hi Bhargav Krishna,

Test the RFC connection, if there any failures or not.

Hi Hanumantha Rao,

i already referred that blog. i have a query about this blog.

i have also tested the RFC connection. it is working fine.

When we create RFC destination of type " T ' connection, should we need to provide PI host details or ECC details?

If i provide PI details, im getting the below error.

If i provide ECC details, then it is working fine.

From ECC.

When you are trying to create the RFC destination, then it should point out to PI system.

Hi,

>>>if so where should we create?

in PI - NWA  - destinations

you need to configure the IDOC adapter on PI to make it work with IDOCs - please have a look at IDOC guides on SDN where all the steps are shown,
