Hello All,

We are into SRM 7.0 classic scenario, we are using backend system as ECC 6.0 EHP 4.0 and currently in SRM system the backend system type is maintained as ERP_3.0 due to which some issues like contract mangament services are created in backend system. we have consulted SAP and they are suggesting to use ERP_4.0, if we directly change the system type in all the system, is there any impact in SRM side and ECC side. please let me know.

Thanks

Hello Santosh,

there are 2 case for system configuration

backend system as ECC 6.0 EHP 4.0 than Document Like PR , PO , confirmation and contract will get created by Xml interface for this you need to activate configuration of E SOA. which may or may not need PI depend on ECC system support pack level.

if you are making backend system as ERP_3.0, These will be no impact and  The PR/PO will created by RFC and Confirmation will be created By Idoc interface.

We have done second setting for one of out rollout.

Thanks
Sharad

Hi Santhosh,

version of ERP Backend in SRM mostly play funktion of Backend RFC Functions determination.

These Driver (RFC) functions are maintained in the Table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP - there you can check, which calls will be changed with changing to ERP_4.0

3.0 -> 4.0 has an influence on Classic scenario (as Sharad said, RFC will be replaced with SOA). If you do not want it (still want to use RFC) - you can adopt BBP_FUNCTION_MAP table for values BUS2012/CreateFromData1

Best Regards
