MRP didn't change planned order to Purchase requisition

Former Member

Hello

I have a problem with my MRP on an item.

my MRP runs on sunday (in my example : the 2nd of june 13 > 02/06/13)

MRP profile : 0010

scheduling

GR processing time = 5 days

SchedMargin key = 002 (6 days)

delivery lead time = 154 days

planning calendar = 520

Here is the periods of my calendar around my requirements :

From date           Period to           period

  1. 28.10.2013 10.11.2013          44/2013
  2. 11.11.2013  24.11.2013          46/2013
  3. 25.11.2013 01.12.2013          48.2013

I have a requirement which is fixes on the 11.11.2013.

I supposed system choose 11.11.2013 with calendar.

then, delivery date should be 05.11.2013 (-5days for GR processing time / without sundays)

then, 04.06.2013 (-154 days for delivery lead time)

My opning zone is between the 02.06.2013 and 08.06.2013 (schedmargin key).

According to me, MRP should create purchase requisition and not planned order !!!?  (attached file in french, sorry)

the problem is that during the week, this planned order get frozen because of the changing period.

Why did it create planned order ?

Is there something i didn't understand ?

What can i check to unlock my PR ?

I have got some items with no probs. same scheduling but with PR creation.

Thanks

Martin

Hello

i find the solution !

actually, there was a difference in the supplier delay between my material and his group (group of material).

so when MRP runned, material used the wrong delay.

so my planned order still planned order.

as you can see on my last message, the opening date was 19.07.2013 instead of 18.06.2013.

so i check the delays of these articles.

thanks you all.

Martin,

Check the Procurement Type of the Material in MRP2 Tab. It should be "F" for Extenal Procurement. Then Check whether Purchase Info Record and Source List are set for that material.

Yes, it's "F" for my procurement type. for all my material.

On my Purchasing Source List i have 2 supplier for the case which doesn't work.

maybe, it's a trail...

please fix one vendor for the material and activate MRP in source list (give the 3 moths before the start date)

Hi Martin,

try increasing in customizing the planning Horizon (transaction OPPQ).

When you run MRP are you set the parameter: "Create Purchase req." = 1?

Hi

Are you sure that this material was included in the last planning run?

If there was no MRP relevant change since the previous planning run, the material may not be planned again by the MRP, therefore, the planned order won't be changed to purchase requisition.

You can check on transaction MD05 the date of the last planning run. Also check in MD21 if the planning file is checked.

Hi Martin,

What all are the parameters have you used while running MRP? For the field "Create Purchase Requisition", if you choose the option "1 Purchase Requisition", system will create PR against procured material. If you choose the option "2 Purchase Requisition in opening period", system will create planned order until unless specific procured material's opening period reached. If the opening period reached, system automatically change the planned order and displayed with PR. If we choose the option "3 Planned orders" system will create planned order for both In house material as well as procured materials. Whether if you are using either MD01 or MD02 for run the MRP, you have to check this option.

Thanks

i use the same process for all materials.

actually, i use the prog RMMRP000 for all material of my warehouse.

processing key = NETCH

create puchase requisition = 2

schedule lines = 1

create MRP list = 1

pplanning mode = 1

scheduling = 1

Hi

if you use create puchase requisition = 2 you must verify in customizing the planning Horizon (transaction OPPQ).

Hello,

For MRP run T Code check MRP Control parameters... for Create Purchase requisitions indicator should be set to 1 - Purchase requisitions..
With IMG Customization check whether settings MRP Procurement proposal set for Purchase requisitions also.
MMR MRP 2 view settings for....

Procurement type - F

Special procurement - 20 External procurement (Not mandatory)

Revert (if any)

maybe a new trail.

as i said, i have the same prob today.

i have requirement the 25.11

and when i calculate :

I supposed system choose 25.11.2013 with calendar.

then, delivery date should be 19.11.2013 (-5days for GR processing time / without sundays)

then, 18.06.2013 (-154 days for delivery lead time)

we are the 18.06 ; so, i supposed system should be created PR. but not.

tomorrow, it's going to freeze.

mrp runs last sunday (md05).

when i simule with md03, it still planned order.

i see an opening date on 19.07.2013. does it normal ?
