Views counter of discussion/blog post

Is it possible to modify the views counter of discussion/blog post so that:

1. Counter will counts only unique visitors and won't be increased each time I press F5.

2. Counter will not refer to visitors of discussion/blog post author while he is authorized.

This way we can see more realistic statistic of discussion/blog post views.

The counters track page views and cannot be reset.  This also includes the author, who may or may not be logged in when viewing the content.
