Hi all,
Xi system has already been configirated , but how to connect
R3 system to xi .
Anyone can give me help , thanks!
nelson
in case of sending/ receiving Idocs, the following connections needs to be established;
In XI
SM59 - R3 connection pointing to R3
IDX1 - define the port with the above dest.
In R3
SM59 - R3 connection pointing to XI
WE21 - define the port with the above dest.
WE20 - Partner profile type outbound/Inbound
For connection in case of ABAP proxy. ref;

hi
i know your method is right,but i have created related information at IDX1.However,when i executed the IDX2,i couldn't find the port created at IDX1.I import PORT at IDX1 in Source Port when I was importing MATMAS in Message Type directly. A error rises when I save the configuration.Could you help me find out the reason? Besides, does it matter that my R/3 and XI are all temporary License?

Hi Nelson,
I import PORT at IDX1 in Source Port when I was importing MATMAS in Message Type directly - you dont have to import port in IDX1 but you will have to create a port in IDX1 for SAP if you already dont have..........if you have a port of SAP, then in IDX2, click that port, then click create button, in IDOC type give MATMAS and in port give your SAP port name of IDX1.......then click continue...then you will see yur MATMAS idoc in SAP port in IDX2 in XI......
Thanks,
Rajeev Gupta

hi,
But I do not know how to choose the IDOC Message Type in Load Meta Data for IDOC

- This step doesn't required..runtime only it will load the idoc data tcode : IDX2.
No need manually intermention in IDX2.
then how about RFC - Create at XI ent to connect R/3
and same thing create R/3 end to connect XI.

Venu.
But I do not know how to choose the IDOC Message Type in Load Meta Data for IDOC
>>click on the port you have created in IDX1 . then in IDX2 select the port and click create or F5 to do this then it asks for IDOC Type enter it then ask for Messge type enter then source port.
Message type is frist part of IDOC MATMAS.MATMAS04 here MATMAS is message type.
